Bio
Quanjie Qiu is a Ph.D. candidate in the School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (EECS) at the University of Ottawa. He is supervised by Professor Miodrag Bolic and serves as an associate researcher in the CARG research group. His research focuses on applying wireless communication technologies and deep learning to the field of drone detection.
Research Interests
His research interests lie at the intersection of wireless communications and unmanned aerial systems, with a particular focus on enabling intelligent interaction between communication networks and drones. He explores the use of advanced AI-driven approaches for robust drone detection and identification, leveraging signal processing and deep learning techniques. In addition, his work involves Simultaneous Localization and Mapping (SLAM), with an emphasis on improving mapping accuracy and real-time localization in complex and dynamic environments.
